Start gearing up for Dog Run Dog this Saturday in Provincetown at the Pilgrim Bark Park
Popular 10K/5K for dogs and people to take place this Saturday
The Dog Run Dog 10K/5K for Dogs and People will begin at 9am on Saturday, June 20th in Provincetown.
According to the race's organizers, dog running is a rapidly growing competitive recreation for activity dog owners and their furry friends. Dog Run Dog is the premiere event featuring a circuit of races in the United States, Canada and the UK. The second race in the 2009 circuit is scheduled to take place at the tip of the Cape this coming weekend.
"Dogs love to run, and people love to run with their dogs," said Paul Gardner, founder and chief executive of Dog Run Dog.
The Provincetown race will begin and end at 9am at the Pilgrim Bark Park, Provincetown's dog park on Shankpainter Road.
First, second and third awards, in the form of the coveted yellow, blue and red dog bowls by Bauer Pottery will be bestowed upon the winning person/dog teams.
