Free pet first aid course for teens announced at the Brewster Ladies' Library
American Red Cross to present free Pet First Aid course for teen
The Brewster Ladies’ Library is sponsoring a Pet First Aid course for teens on July 28, from 1:00-4:00 p.m. in the library auditorium.
Instructors from the American Red Cross will lead this class which is designed to give pet owners the confidence and skills necessary to tend to unexpected emergencies until they can get their pet to a veterinarian.
Teens will learn how to administer medications, recognize an emergency, perform CPR and first aid, treat common problems and emergencies requiring immediate attention, and stock a pet first aid kit. Each participant will also receive a pet first aid manual at the conclusion of the class.
Instruction will focus on care for dogs, cats, guinea pigs and rabbits, but all questions are welcome.
Participants are asked to kindly leave their pets at home.
There is no cost for the class, but space is limited and registration is requested.
Please call the library at 508-896-3913, or register using our online event calendar here.
