No dogs on Barnstable beaches mid-May through mid-September
In the most recent August 2009 Barnstable Bulletin, the Town of Barnstable reminds residents and visitors that dogs are not allowed on any town beaches during the spring/summer months:
§ 403-8. Dogs on beaches and in recreation areas.
No person owning or having the care, custody or control of any dog shall allow said dog on
any Town beach or recreation area from May 15 to September 15 without the written
authorization of the Town Manager or Official in control of said beach or recreation area.
Once dogs are allowed on the beach outside of those dates, they must be leashed at all times.
